Chaand us raat kuch mukammal, kuch adhoora sa tha, Hawaa-on mein bikhra, imtihaan-e- ishq ka choora sa tha, Thi itni roshni us ek lamhe mein, Ki haqeeqat ka woh pal bhi dhundhla sa tha... Tha khayaalon ka shor, Aur khaamoshi bezubaan thi, Mil rahe thhe pehli daffa, Par wo pehli Mulaaqaat si kahaan thi, Jab khayaal unke poore kar Gaye mere alfaaz, Tab ek lamhe ko, unki nazar-e- mohabbat mujh par meherbaan thi... Thhe raaste anjaan, par Manzilein ban rahi thi, Baatein thi anginat, aur taqdeerein bandh rahi thi... Kehte Hain ek mulaqaat kaafi nahin hoti, Humsafar chunne ki koi taareekh nahin hoti, Par unse mil Kar Yun laga ki jhooth tha sab jo ab tak jiya, Zindagi Yun hi guzar jaati bewajah, agar tumse yeh raahein na mili hoti...

You are like that full moon night, For which I waited for, since childhood, To complete the poetry that I wrote as my fairy-tale... You are like that glass window, On which I never pasted any sticker and never painted, Because I loved looking through it... With you it's so easy to flow, So easy to just let go, Because you are you and that makes me believe that miracles happen... You are like that special ink pen that I never wanted to share anyone with, That last page of all my slam books that I left empty for someone, That first "Add Gel" pen that I bought and didn't use because I didn't want its ink to finish, That last phantom cigarette candy that I hid away from my cousins, You are like my childhood because you are real and there's no pretense, You are like the life I live secretively when I'm alone for not letting the world know, You are like the mirror I talk to everyday, because you make me, me and you are always you ! Yeh sawaal be-jawaab hain, Aur uljhanein ab bhi be-hisaab hain, Koi dil toddne ko dil lagaata kyun hai, Koi dur jaane ko paas aata kyun hai, Koi sehra mein barsaat sa hai kyun, Is toote rishte mein yeh gaanth hai kyun, Kyun khwaabon mein tum aate ho ab bhi, Sab chhal tha, phir kyun rulaate ho ab bhi... We always hear and read that everyone has their struggles and hard times, and hence, everyone is blessed with the strength to go through it, fight back or tolerate it. It's all connected.
